360 Australians named on the 2019 Sydney Writers’ Festival lineup

Anyone interested in writing and celebrating ideas is anticipating this year’s Sydney Writers’ Festival.

This year from April 29 – March 5, hundreds of thousands will attend more than 300 events, all encouraging creativity and voice.

The 2019 lineup for the Sydney Writers’ Festival is shaping up to be one of the most diverse yet, with over 360 Aussies and 55 international idea architects to make appearances.

Sydney Writers’ Festival is Australia’s biggest celebration of writing and ideas. This year’s lineup boasts a diverse range of writers from all walks of life, showcasing some of the most curious and innovative authors in our atmosphere.

This year, 360 Australian writers and 55 international writers will be writing to the theme of ‘lies’ and sharing their creativity across Sydney. SWF’s base will be creative hub Carriageworks, but the 300 events will take place across a variety of venues including Sydney Town Hall and City Recital Hall.

Named writers include novelists, screenwriters, scientists, journalists, musicians and countless other brackets. Writers include Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Randa Abdel-Fattah, Jackie French, Sarah Hansen-Young and Markus Zusak just to name a few.
