Sydney six-piece Stockley have dropped their debut single, and it’s one that will take you for a ride. The clip for Fishing Trip is simple enough, and it allows the weight of the song to spill forth in all its bittersweet melancholy.
Wavves – Too Much
On the other side of the spectrum we have the rough and violent clip for Wavves‘ Too Much. As anyone who grew up with a pool / trampoline / plenty of couch cushions will tell you, wrestling is fun and should always be tried at home. The clip for the surf-punks single may actually do a better job of advising against this than those hurried WWF warnings ever did.
Banoffee – With Her
Back into more serene territory we take a dip with Banoffee for her smooth track With Her. Flanked by synchronised swimmers in a lap pool it’s stylish, sleek and brings the sadness of the song to life.
Twerps – Love at First Sight
Does anyone else feel like Twerps get more love in the States than Australia? They are from Melbourne after all! Regardless, the band have a cracker of an album to their name in the form of Range Anxiety and their new clip for Love at First Sight sums up everything that is great about this band. Bring on the woozy slacker rock vibes!
