18 years since their iconic hit No Scrubs, TLC have reaffirmed that the original definition of a scrub still stands.
Their iconic hit features the lyrics, “A scrub is a guy that think he’s fine and is / Also known as a buster / Always talkin’ about what he wants / And just sits on his broke ass…”
18 years later, TLC remind us the message of No Scrubs hasn’t changed one bit… and they still don’t want you to chase waterfalls.
In 1999 they taught us what it meant to be a scrub and affirmed they had zero tolerance for the hollering, broke “busters”.
On the hit’s 18th anniversary, actor and comedian Paul F. Thompson used Twitter to ask them if their policy on scrubs had changed. It hadn’t.
hell no!

And the same goes for waterfalls… “Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to…”
That goes for waterfalls, too, y’all… #recognize #dontgochasin https://t.co/cphl9j3Rxt
