Over the past few weeks details have been trickling out about a brand new album from Oh Mercy that is due out later this year. Follow the release of their first single, Sandy, a few weeks back, we have now been treated to a special live acoustic performance of a new track Without You.
The video will be part of a series of acoustic performances of tracks taken from the band’s forthcoming album When We Talk About Love. Frontman Alex Gow has said “When We Talk About Love is a personal record. The lyrics are personal. The music leaped out of me. Its genetics are the sum of my musical loves. Bacharach, Cohen, The Triffids. Grand, proud and not self-conscious. I accessed all that I’ve learnt, all that I know, or think I know, and importantly, all that I love, to create this record.”
Written in Nashville and recorded on the Central Coast of NSW with Scott Horscroft (Little Red, Birds of Tokyo), When We Talk About Love and is due out Friday 19th June. Oh Mercy will be playing a few shows this week, as well as at Splendour In The Grass 2015. See all the details below.
