Dance With Your Shadow is filled with lyrics so intrusively honest, you’ll want to dissect every single line Wolves In Fashion croon.
Ten seconds into first track Tension, I’m immediately reminded of Foals, Sticky Fingers, Lime Cordiale or Jeff Buckley. The unique blend carries an intriguing sound, each melody bursting with emotion, pain and longing for a love that delves beneath the surface.
Inspired by lonesome nights and awkward moments with the opposite sex, Wolves in Fashion are memorable, powerful and unique. Honest to their roots, this five piece have a groove-rock vibe, each track from Dance With Your Shadow insisting it should be the soundtrack for a party.
Tension is the first song from the five-track EP. The fast-paced, progressive track is one of the most powerful from Dance With Your Shadow, along with She’s Always Got More.
Moving On and Something to Prove take on a softer, more ambient feel with Quaife’s vocals really coming to life. Last Breath travels down a similar path, blended with driving guitar riffs, a catchy groove and an outstanding amount of percussion.
After listening to Dancing With Your Shadow, these guys have emerged from the woods and straight onto my Spotify playlist.
