Lumino’s Way documents his cosmic travels to the astral realm on B’Fore

Some of us use music to spin us to another place entirely. We all have that one song which sends us to our happy place; it helps us relax, turn off our minds, and float downstream.

Some of us have other ways to travel. Lumino’s Way is a Sydney-based musician who practices astral projection, a meditative art used to travel far and wide in your astral form. B’Fore is a song based on his experiences with that technique.

Lumino’s Way takes a trip to the stars and back in B’Fore, an avant-garde ode to astral projection and its iteration in dreamy compositions.

B’Fore ebbs and flows like a psychedelic trip, holding and releasing its breath with each new bar. The bass tones are as juicy as they come, no doubt the result of Lumino’s endless experimentation with audio effects.

During the writing of B’Fore, the artist was undertaking an astral projection exercise which involved projecting himself towards certain constellations in the night sky. Filmed on a smartphone, this clip is a diary entry documenting those experiences.

Online information is quite hard to lock down when it comes to Lumino’s Way, presumably due to a mixture of his newcomer status and reclusive tendencies.

Yet there’s magic here to be sure, and we’ll be on the lookout for what comes next.
