As the smooth instrumentation stutters into Stoyan’s first verse on his new track Anti-Climax, a deeply infectious groove is immediately established. And I guarantee it’ll stick with you for days.
I first heard this new song a few days back, and still, I find the rappers lyrics looping over and over again inside my head. Not that I’m complaining – the track’s incredible.
Anti-Climax, the jazzy new track from Sydney rapper Stoyan, will put you in a deep groove you’ll never want to leave.
The Sydney based artist sails through clever lyricism, carefully considered production, and jazzy instrumentation to deliver a unique brand of hip-hop that belongs entirely to himself.
With Benny LeFonque featuring on saxophone, Anti-Climax’s jazzy vibes meld perfectly with Stoyan’s rhythmic delivery.
“This is one of the first songs I ever wrote and it was with one my best friends who is featured on the track,” Stoyan says of the track.
Shot and co-edited by Angus McGuigan, the track’s accompanying music video sees the duo performing in an emptied Hyde Park at 3am on a very cold winter’s morning.
Anti-Climax is set to feature on Stoyan’s debut full-length album, to be released at some point later this year. Definitely keep your eyes peeled for that.
