20-year-old Melbourne-based rapper Dylan Potter has quickly built himself as one of the most exciting emerging acts in Aussie hip-hop. Having only spent six months with a serious dedication to the craft, Potter’s rise is one unlike any other we’ve seen in a long time.
Now, for his new single No Condolences, Potter has enlisted the help of producer Donkeyman… and together, they’ve delivered one of the strongest Aussie hip-hop tracks we’ve heard in a long time. It should go without saying that we’re stoked to be premiering it for you today.
Melbourne-based rapper Dylan Potter has teamed with Donkeyman for No Condolences; an explosive and effortless hip-hop gem.
Throughout the new track, Potter and Donkeyman charge through a dynamic blend of sounds to create something uniquely their own. With Potter’s effortless wordplay and Donkeyman’s textured production, the pair have crafted a track that feels simultaneously smooth and explosive.
The duo came into contact with one another when Donkeyman discovered Dylan on Instagram. Donkeyman shot Dylan a message, and the rest is history. After one session in Donkeyman’s Bundoora studio, the track was born.
While Donkeyman has been making music for over a decade, these are still early days for Dylan Potter. Nevertheless, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes from both artists in the near future. Here’s hoping this doesn’t mark the end of their collaborative project.
For now, do yourself a favour and listen to No Condolences above.
