Zach Galifianakis is hitting the open road this September to bring Between Two Ferns to Netflix.
Slated for a September release, the film centers around Galifianakis experiencing a new found infamy. Thanks to comedic figurehead Will Ferrell, Zach’s public access show has been uploaded to Funny or Die and viral humiliation ensues.
Rather than letting this wide spread mockery get the best of him, Galifianakis takes to the road with his ferns in tow to interview high-profile celebrities across the USA.
Galifianakis has let loose on some big names on Between Two Ferns, most notably ex-POTUS Barack Obama.
No guests have been confirmed at this stage by either Netflix or Galifianakis, yet several big names have been floated around with one rep claiming the interviews will be with “celebrities you know of“.
Peter Dinklage, Keanu Reeves and fellow Hangover co-star Ed Helms all make for a promising cast, and who wouldn’t want to see how the adored Late Show host David Letterman handles Zach’s dry approach?
The choice is safe on Netflix’s end, with the show amassing millions of views on the Funny or Die YouTube channel, but just how safe will Galifianakis and co. be when it airs?
Check it out September 20th on Netflix.
