It was back in May, with the release of their debut single One More Time, that we were first introduced to the immersive new-wave sounds of Melbourne-based outfit Lov3sick. Their music is simultaneously direct and sprawling; it’s rooted in dark industrial tones, but reaches far wider.
Now, the band have dropped their follow-up single Catch The Front Of A Train, and with its release, they continue to build themselves as one of the Aussie music scene’s more exciting emerging acts. If you’re not already across this band, we strongly recommend you change that.
On their new single Catch The Front Of A Train, Melbourne-based outfit Lov3sick present a pulsating and immersive slice of new-wave brilliance.
Throughout the new single Lov3sick blend elements of post-punk, new-wave, and alt-rock to craft a sound uniquely their own. With pulsating rhythms, captivatingly disorientating synths, and haunting vocal hooks, Catch The Front Of A Train is a completely immersive slice of music.
Across its four-minute duration, the track pulls in myriad sonic directions—it never sits in one place for too long. One moment you’ll be floating through ghostly melodies, and the next you’ll be neck deep in frantic psychobilly-tinged breakdowns.
By the time the track reaches its conclusion, you’ll have been roped in completely by Lov3sick’s epic brand of music.
Catch The Front Of A Train is set to feature on the band’s upcoming debut EP, which is set for release later this year. Judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes.
