EarthGang unveil masterful debut album Mirrorland

Hip-hop duo EarthGang, comprised of Olu and WowGr8, have released their debut album Mirrorland. It’s an unbelievably tight listen which, you guessed it, features a bunch of killer collaborations.

The highly anticipated project from the Atlanta natives packs a massive punch, delivering 14 stellar tracks set to blow your mind.

EarthGang brings Mirrorland to us via Dreamville Records, founded by American hip hop legend J. Cole. This label has been bringing out masterpiece after masterpiece and Mirrorland is no different.

If you’re a fan of Dreamville and its past signings, Mirrorland will excite you to no end. Set against the backdrop of EarthGang’s contributions to Revenge of the Dreamers III, this album proves the duo’s ambitious vision, overwhelming skill and mission to make it big in the world of hip-hop.

The album is a re-imagining of The Wiz and a love letter to EarthGang’s hometown of Atlanta. The pair have spent two years turning Mirrorland into an incredibly unique project that takes on many forms, flowing in multiple dynamic directions.

What makes the album even sweeter is the way EarthGang have meticulously paid homage to the various eras of hip-hop which have inspired them over the years.

On top of their unique sound, they have included a number of incredible feature artists including Young Thug, T Pain and Malik

The duo has added to the Mirrorland hype by releasing a limited edition 8-bit game featuring storylines from the album, as well as Easter egg caricatures of fellow Dreamville label legends. The game is now available for download now, if that’s your thing.

The good news keeps on rolling with EarthGang announcing their debut worldwide headline tour which includes Australia – a full list of dates and tickets are available here

It is fair to say that Mirrorland is unlike anything else you will hear in 2019. Olu and WowGr8 will be the next big act to emerge from Dreamville, a hub which has brought us so many great artists to date, and obviously has no intentions of slowing down.
