Get Ready to Rumble: SXSW Sydney Drops 60 More Emerging Artists for Epic Line-Up!

Strap on your dancing shoes to prepare for whatever SXSW throws at you – whether its death-moshing, doofing or line-dancing .

The highly anticipated SXSW Festival will be touching down under for the first time in mid-October this year, bringing with them the world’s finest up-and-comers in tech, games, screens and music.

Yesterday, another 60 artists were announced to be performing in the music festival, ranging from Indonesia’s punk-pop power trio Grrrl Gang to Sydney’s country and (inner) western royalty Caitlin Harnett & the Pony Boys to New Zealand’s Daily J whose laid-back, psychedelic rock puts everyone at ease.

The new bands joining the lineup further push the idea that there really is something for everyone, whether your thing is Korean brother-sister duos creating electronic and experimental rap like Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA, Australian 4-piece alternative/indie pop bands such as Death By Denim or layers of gothic, post-punk and dramatic art-pop that is New Zealand’s Proteins of Magic

The latest 60 artists will be joined by an already mouth-watering lineup consisting of the current breakthrough artists, including homegrown legends such as Newcastle’s Rum Jungle, Adelaide’s Teenage Joans and Perth’s DICE

It is important to note that this isn’t the final lineup. With a week to play with and Sydney as their playground, SXSW Sydney will be continually adding the next big thing music-wise to their lineup during the lead-up to October.
