Courtney Barnett has been announced as the winner of the Australian Music Prize for 2015 for her debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit.
Barnett beat out nine other finalists, including Tame Impala, Dan Kelly, Dick Diver, Gold Class, Jess Ribeiro, Methyl Ethel, My Disco, Royal Headache and Sarah Blasko, who were all nominated for their amazing 2015 albums.
The win was announced via Twitter, and Barnett was awarded a sweet $30,000 prize during the AMPed Up in Conversation event in Sydney today.
