If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at music production, you’ve likely done some research into the world of DAWs, plugins, and whatever other technology you can get your paws on.
It can be a little intimidating to start out, and often you’ll need some kind of mentor or online tutorial to show you the ropes. Today one of the biggest players in the market, Ableton, have staked their claim in the teaching game.
Want to get into audio production? Let Ableton guide your hand with a huge online bank of free tutorials, released today.
Ableton’s new website, Learning Music, offers an interactive introduction to electronic music production.
The tutorial contains seven chapters that address the fundamentals of writing music on a computer. It transposes many of Ableton Live’s user interfaces into the browser setting so that beginners can experiment with basic aspects of production for free.
Hits like Beyoncé’s Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) or Inner City’s Good Life appear as examples in the lessons section, where users are prompted to deconstruct them to understand important aspects of songwriting. – Resident Advisor.
