Newtown’s Bank Hotel has yet another killer lineup for April, adding to the alive and thriving scene of Sydney’s inner west.

Located right next to Newtown Station, the Bank Hotel is making a name for itself as one of the Inner West’s liveliest venues, attracting artists both local and interstate. As you head up the stairs to Waywards you enter a whole new world, built for an intimate and intoxicating experience.

Tuesdays at Waywards are a steal, with free entry to shows that are soon to be anything but. This month sees Julia Why? taking the stage on the 9th, the brooding poetry of Andrew Samuel on the 16th, and the soulful Sydney leg of Demon Days’ national tour on the 30th.

For your Thursday fix you can catch some intensely cathartic songwriting at Candy’s single launch on the 18th and even take the next day off! Make sure not to miss the Anzac Day shenanigans, featuring drag queen Tora Hymen (plus it’s free).

Fridays start with the bad jokes but beautiful songs of Ro on the 5th, and wind up with a hectic Aus hip hop show with headliner Lil Spacely on the 27th.

You can also catch the Sydney stint of Adrian Eagle’s A.O.K. tour on Saturday the 13th, and the always awesome Newtown Record Fair on the 6th.
