There’s been an abundance of live stream concerts during coronavirus lockdown, allowing music lovers to come together despite being stuck indoors.
This latest is one of Australia’s biggest so far, featuring the likes of Tame Impala and Courtney Barnett, and once you see the full lineup, it’ll be hard to miss.
This Saturday, April 25, a wildly successful collection of artists including Tame Impala, will be performing a concert via live stream.
This huge Anzac Day concert idea started in the mind of Michael Gudinski, head of Frontier Touring/Mushroom Group. With some help from Jimmy Barnes, Music from the Home Front will pay respect to the ANZACs, as well as the frontline workers tirelessly combating the COVID-19 outbreak we all face. The artists will be performing for the virtual concert wherever they happen to be isolating.
Here’s another nugget: the lineup is so star-studded, Channel Nine in Australia and Channel Three in New Zealand are both going to be airing the show. It starts 7:30 pm AEST this Saturday, so be sure to pen that into your calendar.
Gudinski commented that “Throughout history, music has helped people through times of hardship.” This live stream will be no exception. Some features on the lineup include Australian icons Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, The Rubens and the most iconic of all… The Wiggles. If that isn’t a sign to tune in, I don’t know what is.
