Vampire Weekend are an American indie rock band from New York City who formed in 2006. The band was formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Ezra Koenig.
The outfit released three studio album via XL Recordings: Vampire Weekend (2008) was acclaimed for its world music influences. Contra (2010) had the band sued by Kirsten Kennis for the album cover. Their third record Modern Vampires of the City (2013) was produced by Ariel Rechstaid and won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album.
After signing to Columbia Records, Vampire Weekend released their fourth studio album in 2019, Father Of The Bride.
