Australia just got a new road-trippin’ music festival with an ace inaugural lineup

Australia just got a brand new music festival with a bit of a twist. And it’s got an excellent inaugural lineup.

Set to take place throughout March and April, The Drop is a regional festival that will follow the Australian World Surf League Championship Tour as it travels to Snapper Rocks, Bells Beach and Margaret River.

A brand new Aussie festival has just been announced and the inaugural lineup is a ripper.

A small but stellar lineup has been announced for the debut edition of the festival, which includes SAFIA, Dune Rats, San Cisco, Holy Holy and Ruby Fields.

Aussie surf legend and co-founder of The Drop, Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew, said of the new festival: “The Drop Music Festival’s gonna rock Snapper, Bells and Margaret River in 2018. I’m super pumped on this!”

Each leg of the touring festival will be unique, with local art and culture, food and drink vendors and a community-focused ethos. “The Drop is as much for visitors as it is locals,” the festival says, “and we endeavour to build quality, enduring relationships with the beautiful communities we will be visiting.”
