Oops, they did it again. Balenciaga has released their second collab with Crocs, and people are not sure whether they love or hate it.
Balenciaga has once again left the fashion world shook’th with the release of “Crocs 2.0“, a hybrid of the infamous foam clog and your conventional stiletto heel.
Debuting as part of Balenciaga’s Spring 2022 Collection, the croc 2.0 was also accompanied by the more utilitarian, knee-high croc rain boots.
Both styles are available in bright green, grey or black – perfect for outfit versatility!
The “nerdy-chic” 2.0 sling back follows in the steps of its forefather, the 2017 platform croc ‘Foam’.
The bulky, four-inch clog was an unexpected success, available at $850 each and selling out before it was even released on the market.
It can be assumed, based on past accomplishments, the croc 2.0 will reach similar, if not greater levels of success. According to sources, it has already sold out.
So these Balenciaga Stiletto Crocs ($850) dropped yesterday and sold out instantly
But it is far from the only partnership America’s favorite shoe has undergone

Undoubtedly, in questionable and quirky phenomena, the ‘stiletto’ has accumulated some mixed responses, with people either loving the idea or loathing it.
Some find it completely impractical, while others don’t mind the “ugly hot” look that it radiates.

Celebrity stylist, Phillip Bloch, mentioned that some of his clients had expressed their excitement towards the croc 2.0, requesting it as a must-have within their wardrobes:
“Oh my god, do you see those croc heels? Those are amazing! Can we get those?!”
Bloch defended the questionable choices that some make with their style, stating that fashion is all about the “double-take“.
Fashion trends tend to repeat themselves, returning every 20-30 years. The release of Balenciaga’s croc 2.0 has certainly solidified my speculations that we are experiencing a revival of 90’s and early 00’s fashion trends.
Think – statement tee’s, double denim, baguette bags, tiny accessories, oversized jackets, matching tracksuits and knitted sets.
Based on their history, I am sure this will not be the last time Balenciaga transforms a conventionally “ugly” shoe into a high-fashion statement piece.
As the famous saying goes (according to Crocs) – “If you ain’t croc you ain’t rock.”
