Bluesfest announces first ever Melbourne edition and 2023 line-up

Bluesfest will make its Melbourne debut in 2023, in the city’s CBD. Organisers have shared a line-up featuring 25 local & international acts.

The first-ever Melbourne instalment of the iconic Bluesfest is on the horizon. Today, the festival has unveiled a stacked line-up for 2023, featuring both local and international acts.

Joining us from overseas will be artists by the likes of blues icon Buddy Guy, hip hop sensations GZA and Kweli, and legendary American musicians Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams. Aussie acts confirmed on the bill so far include Kasey Chambers, Xavier Rudd and C.W. Stoneking.

For over 30 years, Bluesfest has brought some of the world’s most beloved artists to the beautiful coastal town of Byron Bay. Now, Melbournians who can’t always make the trip up to the legendary Easter festival can enjoy it on their own turf, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, located in the city’s CBD.

Bluesfest Melbourne will be running over two days, on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 April, 2023. Tickets will be made available to purchase next Monday, November 14 via the website here. See the full line-up for Bluesfest 2023 below.
