Electronic juggernauts The Chemical Brothers are coming to Australia to celebrate their new album No Geography, if the signs are to be believed.
UPDATE: The Chemical Brothers‘ Australian tour has been confirmed. Jump below for a set of tour dates.
Iconic electronic duo The Chemical Brothers are fresh off the release of their ninth studio album No Geography, and it looks as though they’re heading to Australia to celebrate.
The band posted a photo of a ‘Hold Tight’ tour poster under a Brisbane bus stop on their Facebook page yesterday, and fans are already going wild.
Last time The Chemical Brothers toured Down Under was in January 2013 around an appearance at Summadayze Festival, so it’s been a long time between drinks indeed.
Since then they’ve released two critically acclaimed studio albums, Born In The Echoes and the more recent No Geography.
The link on the poster goes to a landing page on Frontier Touring’s website, which decrees that ‘GOOD NEWS IS ON THE WAY’ above a signup box to their mailing list.
Frontier Touring posted a second image teasing the tour, mentioning Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The Chemical Brothers are amongst electronic music’s most essential contemporary acts, counting nine studio albums, multiple stadium shows, numerous worldwide hits, and a scintillating rave legacy to their names.
Fingers crossed we’ll hear more very soon.
