A new trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, has been released.
This snippet comes ahead of the film’s highly anticipated premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
A more generous insight into Tarantino’s 9th film: see a new trailer for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood ahead of its Cannes Film Festival Premiere.
Tarantino has kept the secret of the storyline close to himself since announcing that it was set in the 1960s against the backdrop of the horrific Manson family murders.
“The cast and crew have worked so hard to create something original, and I only ask that everyone avoids revealing anything that would prevent later audiences from experiencing the film in the same way.”
Unlike the initial trailer dropped a few months ago, this preview alludes to more of the plot. The film follows Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) navigating Hollywood as a has-been, with his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) assisting him in his transition to the small screen.
At the same time the newest starlet, Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), moves in next door. This sparks intrigue from Dalton in the actress and her close friend, Charles Manson (Damon Herriman).
Only featured for a glimpse during the trailer is the late Luke Perry as Wayne Maunder. This was his final role before his sudden death earlier in March.
Beyond the plot, the aesthetic is rich and personal for Tarantino”
“I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was 7 years old.”
Going off the promise of the trailer, this could be the next best Tarantino movie. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released in Australia on August 15th.
