Originally from Auckland, New Zealand and now residing in Los Angeles, California, Chelsea Jade has developed a penchant for crafting shimmering pop songs that’ll warm your heart.
Her latest single Laugh It Off is no different. With its bright and deeply infectious melodies, the track will crawl under your skin and make you dance like nobody’s watching.
On her latest video Laugh It Off, Auckland/Los Angeles artist Chelsea Jade is a charismatic, eccentric, and captivating presence.
Through the track, Jade breezes through bright, glittery synths and glassy percussion to deliver a warm and highly addictive slice of indie-pop.
The song’s accompanying music video sees the singer eccentrically flailing around a vintage car, her hair flying in the breeze, travelling through a series of aesthetically pleasant Aukland tunnels, streets, and parking lots.
Directed by Alexander Gandar, the clip showcases some stunning cinematography, and with an unusual use of lighting, an unsettling tone flickers throughout the video’s duration.
Laugh It Off is the first single from Chelsea Jade’s debut album Personal Best, set to be released on July 20th. And if this first single is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat.
Until then, do yourself a favour and watch the new video above.
