Cher 76 openly talks about her new love, music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards 36
Cher and AE sparked rumours of a relationship earlier this month when the couple were seen holding hands in public. To put fans out of their misery, Cher has taken to socials and happily answered fans’ questions about her relationship, and how they met.
“He’s 36 and in the end he came after me. I’m the skittish one. We love each other …. LADIES NEVER GIVE UP. Must say he was different for me.”
“He’s kind, smart, hilarious … and we (kiss emoji) like teenagers,”
“We’re happy,”
Cher responded to suggestions that the age gap might be an issue, by sharing a photo of a woman in a t-shirt reading: “Old b**ches winning.”
“On paper this looks strange (even to ME) AE says love ️doesn’t know math,”
Fans have responded that they can see what Cher sees in her new love, to which she responded with some all-caps advice:
“I DON’T GIVE MEN QUALITIES THEY DON’T POSSESS. IT’S A RECIPE 4 DISASTER. HE’S ‘NOT’ HIS TATS, HAIR COLOR [sic], DIMOND GRILL. LOVE ️HIM BECAUSE HE WASN’T AFRAID. HE’S KIND, HILARIOUS, SMART, TALENTED, BEAUTIFUL. WE TALK & LAUGH. WE R PERFECTLY MATCHED. DO I WISH I WAS YOUNGER, YAH, I’M NOT BOO FKN HOO,” she wrote.
Cher is the first to admit that life has its ups and downs, “Everything is not perfect in my life, but I’m very lucky. Some things are very good. Some not so much,”
Cher is living proof that there really is life after love, having two marriages behind her, Sonny Bono, from 1964 to 1975, and Gregg Allman from 1975 to 1979.
