Hear Donald Trump’s cooked phone rant to Georgia about overturning votes

Audio has been leaked of an unwarranted call made by Trump to Georgia’s Secretary of State, urging him to recount the state’s votes.

With just over two weeks until Trump is finally booted out of power, the President has made a final, desperate plea to overturn the election.

On Saturday, Trump made a painfully long phone call to Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, pleading with him to “find” the 11,780 votes that are supposedly missing for his win. The audio from said call has just been released for your listening pleasure.

A recording of the conversation was obtained by the Washington Post, shedding a light on some wildly entertaining accusations made by the President explaining his loss.

Although Biden won by 11,779 votes, Trump claims that he actually won by “hundreds of thousands of votes” (500,000 to be exact).

In the call, Trump accused election workers of forging ballots, voting machine manufacturer Dominion of removing parts of the machine in Fulton County (saying that they are “totally corrupt”), and, my personal favourite, claimed that the winning votes were made by dead people.

“So dead people voted, and I think the number is close to 5,000 people. And they went to obituaries,” he says. “They went to all sorts of methods to come up with an accurate number… close to about 5,000 voters.

Raffensperger corrected Trump, clarifying that only two dead people voted.

Trump goes as far to threaten Raffensperger, arguing that the ballots were corrupt, that the state was ill-equipped to report on them, and that “there’s noting wrong with saying, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated.”

“That’s a criminal offence. And you can’t let that happen,” Trump says. “That’s a big risk to you and to Ryan, your lawyer.”

As can be seen by the country’s crippling coronavirus outbreak, Trump is a little bit too invested in being a sore loser than actually running the country.
