Douchebag DJ Justin James proves sexism in music isn’t going away with absurd Facebook posts

After the internet went into overdrive yesterday sharing the essay Bethany Cosantino wrote about sexism in the music industry, a US based DJ has proved why this level of sexism still exists.

As reported by Pilerats, DJ Justin James is at the centre of controversy after posting the following ad to a public Facebook group, Support Female DJ’s.

The post seems a bit dodgy when he claims he doesn’t want any managers or agencies involved, and to top off his lovely request, is only looking to work with women of a certain body type. James has come forward via his Facebook page to explain his reasons for posting the comments he did, where all he really does is try to pass the blame to someone else.

He also showed no regret or remorse for offending anyone with his statement, with Pilerats tracking down the following image on Facebook, a response from James to a female who didn’t appreciate his comments. After the amount of backlash he has received, he even had the balls to end the message with “If they wanted talented DJ’s, then they would just hire men”.
