Barbz, we’re about to witness an iconic moment in cinema history: Dua Lipa is joining the cast of the highly-anticipated live-action Barbie movie! And that’s not all, as the “Levitating” singer is set to record the theme song for the film, according to reports.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, the movie’s cast is already stacked with A-listers, but Lipa’s casting was a complete shocker. The British pop star will not only be playing a surprise role in the movie, but also lending her vocals to the official soundtrack. Barbie Girl who?

Aside from  Dua Lipa, the rest of the star-studded cast includes Margot Robbie as the titular character, alongside Hari Nef as Doctor Barbie, Issa Rae as President Barbie, and Kate McKinnon as Destroyed Barbie. But we have to give it up for Emma Mackey, who is set to play Nobel Prize Scientist Barbie. Talk about breaking down gender stereotypes!

As for the Ken dolls, Ryan Gosling, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, and Scott Evans are all set to play different versions of the iconic character, while Michael Cera, Will Ferrell, Connor Swindells, and Jamie Demetriou are also taking on supporting roles.
