The Buoys and Eliza & the Delusionals have announced a co-headline tour that will see them performing along the Australian east coast in March and April.
Presented by triple j, the two bands will set off in mid-March to perform in both regional and metro locations. Both bands will be performing in all concerts except for Sydney, which will only feature Eliza & the Delusionals.
Formed in 2016 by Eliza Klatt, Eliza & the Delusionals went on to release their first EP The Time Spent on the Inside in 2016. Since then, the indie rock band have released an additional two EPs, before releasing their highly anticipated debut album NOW & THEN in 2022. Later last year, they went on to tour along the East Coast of Australia. They also returned to international touring, performing across North America as both headliners and as a supporting act for Silversun Pickups.
Similarly, the last few years have been game-changing for rock band The Buoys, with the release of their latest single ‘Red Flags’, a slot supporting Arctic Monkeys at their recent Sydney show, and the 2021 release of their third EP Unsolicited Advice for Your DIY Disaster. The same year, their single ‘Lie To Me Again’ landed itself a spot in triple j’s hottest 100.
Both bands have expressed their excitement about performing together, with Zoe Catterall from The Buoys stating that the band have “been huge fans of [Eliza & The Delusionals] for so long” and “can’t wait to hit the road with them and share such a special tour together”.
Eliza & the Delusionals matched their enthusiasm, explaining that “The Buoys are one of our favourite bands in Australia right now and we are feeling so lucky and excited to be touring with them!”
Sadly, not all Band members will be present, with Eliza & the Delusions announcing the departure of guitarist Tex Martin in a recent Facebook post. Tex’s final performance with the band will be on February 11th at Burleigh Ball Festival on the Gold Coast.
