Feast your ears on these new tracks from Real Estate, Father John Misty, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and more

We hope your 2017 is doing as well as the music it’s churning out.

New tracks from Young Fathers, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Father John Misty and Real Estate have us pumped for what else this year in music has to offer.

Pure Comedy is Father John Misty’s piano ballad that places him as our generation’s voice of reason. It couldn’t have come at a better time, too. The song and accompanying music video explore complex issues of life, death, politics and pop-culture. Without giving too much away, Misty contrasts daringly dead pan lyrics with a liquid gold vocal line that will have you wanting more.

Real Estate share their new song and video Darling before they drop their new album In Mind. Darling touts Real Estate’s distinctive sound, with obligatory synths and dreamy vocals to get us in as chill a mood that the band looks to be in throughout the Darling music video. What makes this new release stand out is its complex, indeterminable time signature that earns the band the title of Rhythm Kings.

Scottish band Young Fathers feature six songs in the newest T2 Trainspotting film, and today they have shared one of those bangers with us. The song is called Only God Knows, and provides a real rush when you listen to it. Director Danny Boyle refers to the choir backed chorus as the “heartbeat for the film”

There truly is no rest for the wicked, as The Brian Jonestown Massacre are back after only 3 months to record another album: Don’t Get Lost. Today they have released a song that will feature on their 14-track beast, titled Fact 67 and featuring Tim Burgess from The Charlatans.  The psychedelic tune sports a funky bass line and distorted vocals to put you in a hypnotic state.
