Get ready, because the lineup for Port Macquarie’s beloved Festival Of The Sun is arriving next Thursday the 25th of July!
Now in its sweet 16th year, FOTSUN is an event celebrating all things summer, music and good times, with continuously killer lineups, happy punters and passionate organisers. Happening from Thursday the 12th until Saturday the 14th December, the theme for this years event is ‘Ghouls and Unicorns’.
Get ready for the ‘Ghouls and Unicorns’ edition of Port Macquarie’s beloved Festival Of The Sun, with the lineup dropping next Thursday!
The lineup this year boasts 100% Australian artists, bringing the nation’s best live acts to the coastal town of Port Macquarie, about a 4-5 hour drive from Sydney. Last year’s lineup included a bunch of Aussie legends including Pond, Vera Blue, REMI, Emily Wurramara, Skeggs, Didirri and Angie McMahon
Located right on the beach at Macquarie Breakwall Tourist Park, the annual meet-up is much-loved by locals and travellers alike, as punters are allowed to BYO drinks and come and go from the festival with ease, making the festivities chill and cheap.
Another added bonus is last year’s event was Plastic Free, as organisers strive to put sustainability at the forefront of the festival. FOTSUN also collaborated with the NSW Government’s ‘Down To Test’ initiative, which encourages festival goers to get a quick STI test done in order to gain VIP access to chill areas, charging stations, ice water etc.
The theme this year is based around ‘getting freaky’ in the land of scarecrows, unicorns and skulls, so bring your A-game and get ready to get a bit weird.
