Florence gets candid about her recent break-up with Zach Braff in a new interview and shares her thoughts on certain aspects of the industry that she is not so enamoured with.
In a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, Florence Pugh opens up about her recent breakup with Zach Braff, sharing the pair broke up earlier this year after three years of dating. It’s not surprising that the actor kept it on the down low, after the considerable backlash she received from the media when the pair started dating back in 2018.
At the time, the actor addressed the “abuse” that was being hurled at her in an Instagram video. “I’m 24 years old, I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love. It is not your place, and really, it has nothing to do with you.”
“Whenever I feel like that line has been crossed in my life,” she said, “whether it’s paparazzi taking private moments, or moments that aren’t even real, or gossip channels that encourage members of the public to share private moments of famous people walking down the street, I think it’s incredibly wrong.”
The actor spoke of the breakup, saying, “we’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.”
“We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that.” She continues, “I don’t think that people, just because they have this job, that every aspect of their life should be watched and written about. We haven’t signed up for a reality TV show.”
