Sydney’s favourite punk festival Gingerfest is back again this year, with Gay Paris leading the charge for the massive lineup.
This is the festival’s second year, with the inaugural event in 2014 a resounding success. Held to honour the memory of Nicholas Sofer-Schreiber, otherwise known as the Ginger Ninja. Says the festival organisers “Nicholas Sofer-Schreiber aka ‘The Ginger Ninja’ dedicated his life to punk rock, so it’s only fair that we dedicate our punk rock festival to his life. Celebrating Nicky’s life through music and this festival is one way we know his memory will live on.”
Like the 2014 edition, this year’s Gingerfest will see profits donated to Vision Australia, as well as funding future local punk rock events. Gingerfest 2015 will go down Saturady DECEMBER 19 at The Factory Theatre. Tickets go on sale Tuesday October 6 from the Factory Theatre website.
