On every Thursday throughout June, Happy Mag presents our free-entry ‘No Shade’ events at the Albion Hotel, in the centre of Parramatta.
There’s nothing that we love more than a live gig… so we’ve decided to do four of them! Get ready for our first instalment of ‘No Shade #1’, kicking off from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm on Thursday, June 3rd.
In partnership with Holy Pavlova, Happy will be taking over the Albion Hotel every Thursday throughout June, to showcase the finest emerging and established hip-hop, soul, funk and RnB artists that Sydney has to offer.
‘No Shade’ hopes to bring Parramatta to the forefront as a crucial, yet untouched area of music, arts and culture – with the hope that more artists bring their best performances out West.
The first ‘No Shade’ event, held on Thursday 3rd of June, will see Happy will be teaming up with local RnB, funk and hip-hop legends, Space Buoys, Cinta & Friends, Honeydrip and Mystic Kitō – for a night of revelry in all things ‘funky’.
Needless to say, Thursday will introduce ‘The Regime’ of a lifetime… hehe.
Plus, we’ll be serving complimentary Brookvale Union Ginger Beers on arrival for the first 35 people in the door across every evening. So don’t say we don’t spoil ya.
But, the fun doesn’t stop there, because the second ‘No Shade’ event, held on the 10th of June, will feature smash out acts from none other than Lil Spacely, Big Skeez and MA RATED.
And, we’ll be keeping the good vibes rolling, with the third ‘No Shade’ event on the 17th of June set to feature the likes of Ms. Thandi, Kymie and BRIA.
However, while all good things must come to an end, the fourth ‘No Shade’ event on the 24th of June, will go out with a bang – featuring the Sydney-star-studded lineup of Lauren., Yibby and Angelo The Poet.’
Needless to say, June is set to be a great week for live music across all areas of Sydney.
