Loving Earth

This Easter, Loving Earth has released a pretty bloody decadent box of Boobook Chocolate Easter Eggs. These ethically produced bundles of chocolatey goodness are unlike anything else you’ve seen. Made with vegan-friendly cashew milk, these eggs are filled with a soft caramel centre, giving you the best kind of sugar rush.

Plus, there’s even less guilt associated with these lil bad boys. The Boobook Chocolate eggs support the Great Forest National Park campaign, with 50% of profits donated to declaring the Mountain Ash Forests to the east of Melbourne CBD a National Park.

Chocolate + Whisky Experience

Calling all chocolate and whiskey loving Melbournites; this one’s for you. Stockroom567 on Easter Saturday is where to find this tasting experience, pairing some of the world’s best chocolates with some of the world’s finest whiskeys.

From 7pm-9pm, you can indulge your senses in a decadent and educational experience with a chocolate expert. Whether you’re a local or heading to Melbourne for the long weekend, this is a pretty bloody good way to spend your Easter Saturday evening.

Black Star Pastry

This iconic bakery is a sweet tooth’s heaven every damn day of the year. But at Easter, you have an even better excuse to go chocolate cake mad. From their Chocolate and Hazelnut Torte to the Vegan Chocolate Popcorn Cake, there’s an indulgence for everyone.

And if you’re looking for something a bit more old school, Black Star also have their homemade hot cross buns for some classic Easter goodness.

Death By Chocolate Easter Brunch

Anything that’s called Death By Chocolate is gonna be a good time. For those of you spending Easter in Sydney this year, get yourself some tickets to this chocolatey boozy brunch. With two sittings a day at 12pm and 3:30pm from Friday 19th-Monday 22nd, there are plenty of chances to drown yourself with chocolate and three hours of bottomless Bellinis.

The menu will give you diabetes just from reading it. From chocolate fudge croissant French toast to chocolate scones with white chocolate chips, this is the ultimate in Easter overdosing.

Go bargain hunting

Now if you’re anything like me, reading all that chocolatey goodness has made you weep some budget flavoured tears… but that doesn’t mean we can’t indulge in everything Easter has to offer. At the end of the day, there’s nothing like the good ol’ faithful.

This Easter you’ll find me trawling the aisles of my local grocery store grabbing all the family bags of Cadbury eggs and any Lindt bunnies I can find. You can always score some strawberries, melt those little eggies and have your own posh choc Easter on a budget.

Or, y’know. Eat the whole bag sitting on the floor in your undies. If gorging on chocolate isn’t your thing, don’t fret. Check out the other instalments of Happy’s Guide to the Easter Long Weekend below:
