Shit hot rock n’ roll duo Hockey Dad have just dropped the news they signed a deal with New York based label Kanine Records. Nice one guys!
The band were picked up after a rep from the label caught their very sweaty set at BIGSOUND in Brisbane last September.
Speaking about the encounter the label rep said said “Sifting through hundreds of bands before I arrived, there was one in particular that I kept coming back to. Their name Hockey Dad was intriguing, and their single “Can’t Have Them” simply wouldn’t leave my head. Upon seeing them live in Brisbane, I was pleasantly surprised to find two young artists having a good time above all else. Their energy was infectious, and their ace songwriting didn’t hurt either. It took about all of 30 seconds to realize, I must have them.”
