INXS will celebrate 45th anniversary of first gig with a never-released live LP, a deluxe reissue of Shabooh Shoobah, and a TikTok Livestream.
INXS have announced that they will be celebrating the 45th anniversary of their first show with a myriad of digital and physical music releases, as well as merch. Their previously-unreleased 1983 LP, Live at the US Festival is set for release on October 28, in both vinyl and CD formats, with pre-orders currently available on the official INXS website.
On the very same day, the Aussie alt-rock legends will be launching a 40th-anniversary edition of their 1982 record, Shabooh Shoobah as a digital deluxe box set and limited-edition vinyl.
On August 16 of 1977, INXS performed a stellar debut gig at a Sydney house party. Just yesterday, the rock collective commemorated that fateful gig by declaring it ‘INXS Day’; launched in affiliation with UMG, Petrol Records and Rhino Records.
‘INXS Day’ was celebrated via an hour-long Livestream event on TikTok. The event comprised interviews with the group and their producer, Giles Martin, as well as track-by-track features of their groundbreaking album, Kick in honour of its 35th anniversary.
