Islandis are back with a groovy addictive new single Lost & Found just in time for Aussies to get their summer playlists together.
Aussie Indie pop duo Islandis have jumped back into the music scene with their fifth single to date Lost & Found which has dropped today!
Following a collection of unforgettable singles that the duo has released in the last six years, Lost & Found explores the infectious upbeat spirit that we were hypnotized by in their debut release Home which gained success worldwide.
Released through French Label Kitsunehe, the track has received over 9 million Spotify plays and reached #1 on the Hypem Charts and featured on both BBC’s Radio One, and Apple Music’s Beats One. They’ve reached incredible achievements and this new single will add to the testament of the talent and hard work that they’ve poured into their music.
Lost & found grabs you instantly with its contagious groove atmosphere that producer and instrumentalist James Chave-Dubois emulates through his blending of shimmering synths, tranquil dream-like guitars, and flourishing percussive sounds.
Ben McInerney’s upfront vocal delivery spreads melodic twinkles that hook you from beginning to end. The single spreads tinges of the unique sound of Talking Heads that intertwines with traces of modern atmospheres that French counterparts Phoenix and other contemporaries like Two Door Cinema Club produce. Its nostalgic energy pulses through colourful modern sounds that are pouring with addictive pop hooks.
The duo has made an impression on several music reviewers such as Mahongany who felt that their new single was “The result is sun-drenched modern pop music which hits all the buttons that it’s designed to do.”
Lost & Found was mixed by Adrian Breakspear (Gang Of Youths, Pharrell Williams) who also mixed the duo’s debut Home, and was mastered by Ben Feggans (RUFUS, Cut Copy, Vera Blue) and is being released independently worldwide across all channels today.
