According to unconfirmed reports, it looks as though the 2020 Coachella music festival will be postponed until October due to coronavirus.
The festival was slated to take place in the Californian Coachella Valley in a month’s time, with artists like Rage Against The Machine, Frank Ocean, and Lana Del Rey headlining the bill.
According to unconfirmed reports, it looks as though the hugely popular Coachella festival will be postponed due to coronavirus.
Journalist Yashar Ali from New York Magazine and The Daily Beast took to Twitter this afternoon, revealing that the event will no longer occur on the second and third weekends of April, instead moving to October of this year. Ali has stated that so far the lineup is slated to remain the same.
Whilst the news has not been confirmed by any festival organisers, it doesn’t come as that much of a surprise as other major events are taking similar hits, including the cancellation of SXSW announced over the weekend.
Elsewhere, Justin Bieber has reportedly downgraded some of his upcoming tour from stadium-sized venues to arenas due to low ticket sales prompted by the virus.
