We’ve been left in the dark now for exactly two years and seven days – since the last episode of Rick and Morty Season 3 aired in October 2017. But now we can rest assured, as the trailer and a promised release date for Season 4 have finally been unveiled.
Posted by Adult Swim, the Season 4 trailer gives a glimpse of a whole host of new weird, wonderful, and downright ridiculous adventures of the Rickest Rick and the Morty-est Morty.
The Season 4 trailer for Rick and Morty is finally here and it promises a season as insane as ever – coming in just over a month.
Is Beth a clone? What is evil Morty’s plan? Will Beth and Jerry stay together? What happened to Squanchy and Birdperson? Will Mr. Poopybutthole return? Will Rick and Morty “get schwifty” for a second time? These are just some of the burning questions that will (maybe) be answered in the second week of November.
In May 2018, the show signed on for 70 more episodes as part of a long-term deal with Adult Swim. Apparently show creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are already working away writing Season 5.
In 2018, Rick and Morty won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program, and ever since its inception in 2013, it has collected a loyal cult following.
The new episodes will be airing from Sunday, November 10th, however, the season will consist of only five episodes, as Season 4 has been split in two. The second five episodes will air at a later date.
“Half the season you deserve, all the season you could handle,” the voice-over explains in the trailer.
Nevertheless, the new season is rapidly approaching and in not too long we’ll have five new Rick and Morty gems to watch over and over again. In the words of Rick Sanchez: “Never take things for granite.”
