Rick and Morty didn’t win April Fools Day 2017, Pornhub did

I wonder what portion of the western world was either tuned into the season three premiere of Rick and Morty or Pornhub on April Fools Day? 10 percent? 30 percent? Between the two, we all had plenty of reasons to stay home for some me time on the 1st.

If you were in the crowd who spent some time on Pornhub, you would have been treated to a mean shock. On the day, the programmers decided to take evil to the next level, giving thousands, probably millions of users a mini heart attack with a “Thanks for sharing!” message.

Thanks for sharing! Pornhub showed off their evil side on April Fools Day, scaring users into thinking their naughtiest browsing habits had been exposed.

The message above is what users were treated to, and if that big thumbs up doesn’t evoke a deep fear in the depths of your soul, I don’t know what will. The ‘share’ feature on porn sites has long been the subject of much scrutiny given the uhh, private nature of mature videos, and the thought that your employer, family or lover may see what you’ve been up to… it’s the stuff of nightmares.

So if you’ve since fled the country with shame thinking you had, in fact, shared that video you watched, fear not. ‘Twas but a joke.
