Fall into the incredibly unique songwriting of J. Grave’s You Got Me

It’s pretty difficult to be an original artist in 2018. Some might even argue it’s impossible. But Brisbane’s J. Grave is one of those rare artists that has managed to craft a sound belonging entirely to himself.

I guarantee his new track You Got Me is unlike anything you’ve heard before, yet through his textured production, it still feels familiar.

You Got Me, the dark and textured new track from Brisbane artist J. Grave, seamlessly melds rock and hip-hop to create something completely his own.

On the new song, Grave melds a unique combination of elements from rock, R&B, and hip-hop to craft sound that feels simultaneously woozy and punchy.

The Queensland artist has been working quietly on new material all year, and thankfully we’re now getting to hear it all.

You Got Me drifts through textured and dreamy soundscapes, with the rich production creating the perfect bed for Grave’s raw vocals.

Throughout the track, the 23 year old seamlessly traverses through rhythmic hip-hop deliver and blistering rock singing. It sounds like a difficult combination to pull of, but rest assured, he pulls it off.

This is only the second single we’ve heard from J. Grave, but judging by what we’ve heard so far, we’re in for plenty more great tunes.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the new track above.
