Jordan Peterson recently had his Twitter account suspended for violating the company’s rules against “hateful conduct”.
Jordan Peterson, who is known for his controversial and conservative political views, was booted off Twitter after a recent tweet that he refuses to delete, in the name of free speech.
The tweet in question certainly didn’t seem like the best hill to die on but since Peterson said he would literally “rather die” than delete it, here we are.
Given the recent celebrations of Pride Month, Peterson decided to give his hot take that absolutely no one asked for. Well, that’s probably not true, he has a lot of followers who very well could have been dying to find out what the evolutionary psychologist thought.
On June 22 Peterson tweeted: “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”
Peterson referred to transgender actor Elliot Page by his former name or dead name while implying that the act of gender confirmation surgery for a consenting adult was “criminal”.
The university professor’s Twitter account has since been suspended due to violating the rules against “hateful conduct”.
“You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease,” Twitter informed Peterson as shown by Jordan’s daughter Mikhail Peterson.
“As a result, we’ve temporarily limited some of your account features. While in this state, you can still browse Twitter, but you’re limited to only sending Direct Messages to your followers – no Tweets.”

Peterson has since posted a video on Instagram, doubling down on his sentiment and agenda to suggest that transition in the public eye is abhorrent. The psychologist even likened the doctors who perform gender confirmation surgery to the Nazis…
