King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard announce their 15th studio album

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have announced their next album Infest the Rat’s Nest.

This will be the band’s second album of 2019 and will be released on August 16 via Flightless Records.

“Hardest and heaviest album to date. How metal is it? Very Metal. Maybe even more”: King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard announce their 15th studio album.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard show no signs of ever slowing down as this will be the bands 15th album within the past seven years.

Infest the Rat’s Nest will feature the bands most recent metal releases, Self-Immolate and Planet B which were musically on the heavier side of the band’s repertoire.

Their previous record Fishing for Fishies experimented with boogie oogie ooging” and featured a blues orientated sound.

The Melbourne psych-rock boys have a lot in store for us with Side A of the record being set in the near future and centred around ecological disaster.

“The B-side tells the story of a group of rebels who are forced to leave Planet Earth and try to settle on Venus. I spend a lot of time thinking about the future of humanity and the future of Planet Earth. Naturally, these thoughts seep into the lyrics” explains Frontman Stu Mackenzie.
