Kodiak Kid unveils his brilliant new video for The World He Knew (feat. Mantra)

With an incredible new EP fresh under his belt, Melbourne-based producer Kodiak Kid is on fire right now. He’s spent the past number of years building himself as one of the Aussie music scene’s most formidable acts, and with the release of Drifting Status, his position was solidified.

The EP was a boundless collection of immersive electronic tracks that swirl around your head, leaving you completely hypnotised. To coincide with the EP’s release, he has unveiled a stunning new video for The World He Knew (feat. Mantra).

Kodiak Kid and Mantra’s new music video for The World He Knew is an immaculately crafted reflection on youth.

Directed by Nick Kozakis and Carl Allison, the new video flaunts some dark but stunning cinematography. Exploring how certain experiences in your youth can affect your adulthood, the video sees Melbourne MC Mantra look back at past selves, making sense of these themes with his sharp lyricism and effortless flow.

As the track builds, so too does a real sense of catharsis. Musically and visually, Kodiak Kid, Mantra, Kozakis, and Allison have crafted something truly spell-binding, but also relatable.

The World He Knew features as the second track on Kodiak Kid’s debut EP Drifting Status. If you haven’t already listened to the full EP, we strongly recommend you go do that now.
