Next week, Bon Iver are heading off on their much awaited 22, A Million tour, and yesterday they made a pretty special, and quite unique announcement.
Teaming up with local nonprofits in each city they tour, the Bon Iver team have unveiled their ‘2 A Million’ gender equity campaign, aiming to promote ““person-to-person connection in an effort to end gender inequality, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.”
Bringing gender equity centerstage: As part of their 22, A Million tour Bon Iver are using their substantial platform to raise awareness around a very important issue.
Information is still quite unsubstantial, but it’s clear from the band’s twitter announcement that four of their partners are Courageous Women’s Association, girls inc. and the Centre for Community Solutions. See the full post below.
