Lo-Fire make music you can’t rip your attention away from. Over the past couple of years, the Perth-based outfit have released a series of singles and EPs, carving out a sound for themselves that feels raw and dynamic; an energy perfectly summed up in their name.
Now, with the release of their latest single Catalepsy, the continue to establish their penchant for crafting blistering and unruly garage-rock gems. If you’re not already familiar with this band, we strongly recommend you change that.
On their huge new single Catelpsy, Perth-based outfit Lo-Fire present a hard-hitting and addictive slice of hard-rock brilliance.
All throughout the new single, Lo-Fire stomp through a hard-hitting concoction of grunge and indie-rock, delivering something that feel’s equal parts nostalgic and fresh. With wild riffs, flailing vocal hooks, and thunderous rhythms, Catalepsy is the kind of song that’ll slap you across the face, then get stuck in your head.
Over the course of its punchy three-minute run-time, the song builds into something truly epic. By the time the track reaches its conclusion, you’ll be completely on board with Lo-Fire’s huge rock sound.
This is the latest in a string of consistently great releases from the Western Australian band, and judging by the quality of what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes. In the meantime, do yourself a favour and listen to the new single above.
