Get your country fix with Apple Tree and Baby Don’t You Go, the two newest tracks from Sydney-based songwriter Lucie Tiger.

With a sound that echoes the country twang which reverberated through America in the ’70s, Lucie Tiger will turn the heads of any fan of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, The Band, or Joni MitchellApple Tree certainly leans into Tiger’s established style, yet handily retains a contemporary twist.

A love song steeped in classic charm, Apple Tree will have you yearning for the countryside; its beauty, its isolation, and its romanticism. Slide guitar and some rambunctious organ playing tie the track together beautifully.

Baby Don’t You Go dials back on the energy of Apple Treeopting for a more laidback, mid tempo feel. Like its A-side the track is amorous and starry-eyed, a song for long nights spent alongside your favourite person in the world.

Following the release of this latest single, Lucie Tiger embarked on a US tour designed to bring her to some of rock music’s historical centrepieces; Nashville, Memphis, Chicago and more. Walking the paths of Cash, Presley, and other luminaries, she’ll also be stopping into a few of the country’s most name-checked studios to record new songs.

Until those new tunes hit the airwaves, bliss out to Apple Tree and Baby Don’t You Go above.
