The long-awaited Neighbours finale is almost here and Hollywood star Margot Robbie along with Aussie icon Delta Goodrem will return to Ramsay St for one last goodbye.
After 37 years on air, Australia’s longest-running soap opera, Neighbours is finally coming to an end next week.
Margot Robbie is one of the many celebs that can thank the soap for kicking off their career and now she and a few others are returning back to the set for one last hoorah.
Well, Margot isn’t actually returning to the set.
Apparently, the actor couldn’t make it back to Australia to film the final episode but instead filmed the scene via Zoom while in LA.
Margot, who played the role of Donna Freedman from 2008 to 2011, let the team know she wished she could be there and sent champagne to the cast and crew.
The show also recently announced that Aussie songstress Delta Goodrem would appear in the finale playing the role of Nina Tucker.
Delta originally appeared on the show at the age of 15, between 2002 and 2005 before she rose to stardom.
The singer/actor did make another appearance since then in 2015, reprising her role as a part of the show’s 30th anniversary.
Of course, most of the Neighbours cast will be coming back to say goodbye. It was revealed in May that even Kylie Minogue and her on-screen husband played by Jason Donovan would return.
Neighbours took to social media once again on July 23, writing: “Surprise!”
“You didn’t think we were done did you?! We’re thrilled to share that Margot Robbie, Jesse Spencer, Delta Goodrem, Kym Valentine and Carla Bonner will all make an appearance in our finale!’ #CelebratingNeighbours.”
Neighbours: The finale will air on August 1.
