The brand new pocket-sized effects library from Elf Audio, Koala FX, lets you tweak anything that you’ve created in your mobile device’s host DAW instantly. It’s designed to be intuitive and fast in operation, with a host of tasteful effects to choose from.
Elf Audio’s director, Marek Bereza explains the philosophy behind his latest creation. It’s an effects environment “with no brake-pedal, no way to stumble down a rabbit-hole of micro-editing, tweaking parameters, undoing, redoing, etc etc”.

The app has an easy to use interface for your iPhone or iPad, allowing you to cut or crossfade smoothly between 8 scenes per preset drawing from 16 built-in effects that can be rearranged by dragging them across the screen.
Tapping into dubby delays, bizarre comb filtering and pitch-shifting can be done with the swipe of a finger. Koala FX is fully automatable via your host including the effects, volume, scene, and the XY pad.
Bereza hopes to inspire musicians “to be less precious about their creations.”
