Mumford and Sons’ Ben Lovett needs your help for new charity album

Mumford and Sons’ Ben Lovett is producing a charity album, Metamorphoses, that will lend support to The Global Poverty Project’s “Global Citizen” campaign, with an aim of making extreme poverty a thing of the past.

Album

Lovett announced Metamorphoses through a video, which was aired the 2015 Global Citizen Festival earlier this month. He asks for members of the public to get involved in the cause and submit any piece of writing they feel is important to them, like old school speeches, wedding vows, poems, which will then be turned into lyrics for the album. Lovett says “Metamorphoses will transform your thoughts and feelings into music, giving a voice to the words that might well inspire change, give hope or provide healing for other citizens around the world”. You can submit material here.

The album is set to include some of the world’s most influential artists, although no hints have been given yeas to who they may be. The deadline to submit material to be considered for Metamorphoses is January 1 2016, with the album expected to be released towards the end of 2016. You can check out his album announcement below.
